A wonderful walk, about 6 miles, starting at the hamlet of Fordon, in the north Wolds a few miles west of Filey. Have a look at the tiny St James church. From Fordon you walk north along the footpath along North Dale, and then into Lang Dale, until you meet the Wolds Way. Turn right for a couple of hundred yards along the Wolds Way and then south long a country road. But rather than following the road all the way back to Fordon, go through the grounds of Danebury Manor and follow the footpath until you meet and turn right along the lonely country road along East Dale and back to Fordon.
