A Wolds walk in the wind and the rain on Friday 12 October. It was a stormy day, but the intrepid Wolds walkers ventured forth, not far from Hull this time.

We set off from the junction of Riplingham Road and Eppleworth Road, within sight of Raywell House. West through Nut Wood to Little Wauldby Farm, on to Wauldy Manor Farm for a look at the Waudby Dam and Farm Chapel. South along Welton Dale to join the High Hunsley Circuit bit of the Wold’s Way to Elloughton Dale.

Winding around across Elloughton Dale with its views of the Humber in the gloom, and then east in a nice easy straight line back to Nut Wood. About 9 miles. All in all an interesting autumn walk combining two shorter walks we have done before.
